So now I'm being flagged for my rant? Truth hurt much? They are flat out THIEVES. I'm not the only one who has merchandise that they didn't return. Keep flagging, and I'll keep posting. I'll even post in other areas if my post isn't left alone in rants where it belongs. Every time you flag, it reminds me to repost my complaint on Facebook also. I speak/write the truth, and have a First Amendment right.

Don't do business with Sprout Again.

I was frustrated, having yard sales and not getting very much for my daughter's clothing. I don't put anything in the dryer, so her clothes stay in like new condition. I took TWO boxes of shoes and clothing to Sprout Again. The sales person briefly went through the contents and handed me back a few items that she thought they wouldn't want. Her reasons? One dress 'wasn't Christmas enough'. It was velour, all black. There are other occasions for a girl to wear a dress that are NOT Christmas. One dress, also velour, long sleeved, was 'too thin for winter'. My daughter is thin, wore the dress all winter long, with a simple black button up sweater, and got a LOT of compliments. I tried to shrug it off as I really wanted to sell my daughter's things, and get more than .25 per piece at a yard sale.

Two weeks later, I took TWO more boxes in to Sprout Again. I inquired about the things I had brought in previously. I was told that they had not gone through the boxes yet, so therefore, I had not made any money. Okay, people are busy, I understand that.

Later that same day, they called me to come pick up the items they didn't want to attempt to sell. I had my husband pick them up on his way home from work, and was shocked when I opened the two boxes they had sent back to me. Anything that had come from Walmart, except for things that were a name brand other than Walmart brand, coats and snow boots, came back to me. Nice, velour Christmas dresses that my daughter wore last Christmas and got several compliments on, came back to me. One pair of jeans was EXACTLY like a pair I noticed hanging on their rack, except mine were in better condition. A brand new pair of tennis shoes, worn ONCE, that Walmart was still selling this last summer, came back to me. Sprout Again claimed they were 'outdated'. At that point, I'd had it. I no longer wanted to do business with Sprout Again. I called and requested my things back.....'every single piece', is what I said. They called, told me my things were ready to be picked up. Again, I had my husband pick them up. I went through them immediately. There are at least two pieces missing. See, I took pictures of MOST of the items before I packed up the boxes and dropped them off, so I would know what was in those boxes. I called and left a message with a sales person that there were items missing. That was on Thursday. I called again the following Tuesday. The manager doesn't work on Friday, and was sick on Monday, (okay, life happens) but she would be sure to check it out and get back to me by the end of the week. Here it is the following Tuesday, and still no word. My hunch is that there is a dishonest sales person working there who takes home what they think is cute for their own child. No proof, just my hunch, because where the hell are the rest of my things? I guess I will never know.

Pieces missing that I am aware of: Black sparkly sweater with fuzzy collar. Blue animal print vest.

Unless you buy your kid's clothes at Macy's or somewhere like that, don't bother with Sprout Again. They are a USED merchandise store, but obviously think they are Macy Annex. And if you do choose to do business with them, don't count on getting anything back. I chose not to do business with them as I would much rather donate my GOOD used clothing to a child who would appreciate it, rather than have someone like these people who 'lose' my items benefit off of me. No offer of compensation, not even an apology! If you're smart, you will stay away!

As a side note: The pants that my daughter wore into their store and sat on their floor are now ruined. They were brand new. That was the first time she wore them, they were clean when we went into the store, but after sitting on their DIRTY floor, they are heavily stained. I've washed them three times now, spraying with pre-treat and letting soak each time. Dirty, DIRTY store!!
