With field offices in North & South Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky, Ohio, Illinois and Florida, ProPump & Controls works throughout the eastern US and much of the Caribbean. We are currently looking for entry level field technicians to train for work in the irrigation and municipal water and waste water markets. Our experienced technicians operate equally well independently, or as team members on larger projects. The company has been in business for 30+ years with service technicians operating in the Eastern United States.Work Schedule Description:The Ohio office hours are Monday - Friday from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.Have you been thinking of enrolling in a community college AMT or Mechatronics program? Responsibilities of a ProPump Field Technician Include:•Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on automated pump systems.•Use multimeter, process meter, megger and other instruments to diagnose issues with pump motors and controls. .•Instruct customers on proper procedures for operating and maintaining equipment.•Install pump stations, pumps, and motors using cranes and other heavy equipment.•Set up and maintain telemetry networks utilizing radios, cellular modems, DSL lines, etc. •Perform pump station preventive maintenance: --Lubricate motor bearings--Change oil in turbine motors--Re-pack pumps--Inspect and rebuild hydraulic control valves--Inspect and clean wye strainers and filter screens--Inspect pump screens and wet well with use of underwater camera•Promote sales of company products and services to solve customer problems.Qualifications:•Excellent communications skills.•Ability to learn to read and interpret wiring schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical literature. •Basic computer proficiency.•Neat appearance•Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record. (No DUI’s)•Must be willing to take a drug test.Experience:•Some college preferred, with preference given to students with some courses in science or math •Job history performing some type of mechanical or electrical work a plusâÃÂÂÂÃÂ
