Job Description International Chemical Corp. – Chemical Sales & Service Representative International Chemical Corp. is a leading supplier of lubricants, chemicals and related equipment for bottling & food processing sanitation and specialty applications. We have been providing solutions for over 28 years with a diverse inventory, custom solutions, and timely delivery. We’re looking for an experienced individual with a desire to work as part of a team as the premier supplier to the food & beverage market. This is a travel position concentrating on Florida Market and Southeast United States with tremendous growth potential. Base Salary plus commission with opportunity to go full commission as an independent sales representative. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: · Develop new and maintain existing relationships with customers. · Prospect and make sales calls to generate new business and promote the company. · Evaluate customer’s facilities needs and suggest areas for improvement. · Ensure that products are being used for the proper applications and at the proper levels. · Titrate chemical dilutions at customers’ facilities, check container volumes, complete sales and service reports, and place orders. · Work directly with customers to develop, implement, and audit their sanitation programs. · Work with other ICC Sales & Service representatives to install/service lubrication dosing equipment and chemical handling equipment at various customer facilities with an emphasis on safety, accuracy reliability. · Represent the company in a clean, organized, and professional manner. To be successful, this individual must: · Be willing to travel as needed visiting customers in a company provided vehicle. · Be willing to work overtime with some late night or weekend visits to customer facilities including occasional overnight travel. · Possess or acquire a high level of knowledge about food & beverage processing systems. · Keep up-to-date and continually broaden knowledge of new technology, regulations, and changes affecting the food & beverage sanitation industry. · Possess or acquire a good fundamental understanding of mechanical controls, process piping, and pumps and how they apply to a food & beverage processing application. · Be organized, disciplined and detail oriented. · Have good analytical problem solving skills and be able to draw conclusions and provide solutions. · Have good social and communication skills, both written and verbal. · Be proficient with MS Office and have good basic computer skills. · Have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. · Have basic math skills as well as ability to convert units of measure and calculate ratios. · Be physically able to maneuver 500# drums, lift 50# containers and climb ladders and stairs. Additional Preferred Qualifications · Bilingual (fluent in English and Spanish) highly desirable · Understanding of Microbiology and food-borne Illnesses · Experience cleaning and sanitizing food & beverage processing equipment. · Knowledge of GMPs, Food Safety, Sanitation Procedures, USDA & FDA guidelines · Knowledge of cleaning chemicals (usage, proportions and regulations) · Three to Five years experience in the Meat, Produce, Processed Foods or Beverage Industry Benefits We pay competitive wages, bonuses, 401(k) with company match and offer an opportunity to be part of a team that enjoys solving problems for our customers while learning about the industries that we service.
