This is a beautifully maintained, classic steel houseboat with loads of space for long weekends on the lake or river. She's the finest River Queen on the Midwest Market! She is powered by Twin 318 Chrysler, 225 HP motors. The River Queen is known for being built like a tank that can with stand rough waters, is easily repaired and lasts the test of time.
She is laid out with a raised forward salon with a sleeper sofa that sleeps 2 and a television (next to the helm). Just aft and down is a large galley with a brand-new refrigerator, 3 burner gas stove, sink with a hot and cold pressure water system and ample storage below and above her counters.
Behind the galley is a convertible dinette that can sleep 2. Aft is a second salon with a queen bed that sleeps 2, with a television. There is a folding curtain for added privacy. The head compartment has a marine toilet, shower and sink with vanity. There are two holding tanks: sewer and potable water. A new hot water heater has recently been installed. There is a stereo system with indoor and outdoor speakers. Bamboo flooring throughout the interior makes for easy upkeep and a quiet environment.
Outside she offers lots of space to relax and move about. There is a large covered foredeck, side decks, a large aft deck with excellent engine and generator access as well as a huge fly bridge with a second helm station and room for all your guests. The fly bridge is fully furnished with stationary fold out benches as well as a table and four chairs. The foredeck is also furnished with a table and four chairs.
If you weigh anchor you can count on the electric wench to make pulling the anchor a breeze. A large swim deck with an aluminum ladder at the rear of the boat can be used for swimming, relaxing in the sun or fishing.
A Kohler generator keeps the refrigerator cold and the music playing as you make your way to a secluded area or to party cove. A new forward air conditioner with a second aft air conditioner assure you stay nice and cool. There are electric heaters to keep you warm during those unseasonably cool nights on the lake (or river). We recently purchased new dock lines and buoys. Included are 12 life jackets in various sizes that are stored in a compartment located in the foredeck which allow easy access for guests as they come aboard.
The cabin helm steering cable needs repaired or replaced.
This one of kind River Queen is located on beautiful Lake Perry near Perry, Kansas. She is docked year-round in a highly sought-after slip next to other large houseboats. During the winter months, the marina provides a bubbler system to prevent damage to the hull from freezing water. This boat can be transported to another lake or river. I have spent a great deal of time researching the cost and method of transportation. I would be happy to discuss this option with you.
This investment can be considered a primary or second home for tax purposes.
The atmosphere on the dock is relaxing, fun and neighborly. We have owned this boat for ten years and have enjoyed every moment. We have watched our children and grandchildren grow up at the lake. We will miss the lake and all of the wonderful people we see each weekend. After much deliberation, we have decided to sell the boat that we so fun lovingly named the Hakuna Matata. It means "No worries for the rest of your days". Please call, text or email if you would like to be worry free at the lake for the rest of your days!
