The True Life Adventure Breakdancing and Hip Hop Specialist/Teacher is dedicated to sharing knowledge while implementing and delivering a 1 week long specialty curriculum to campers ages 9:15.Program Description(s): Flash back to the 1980s and learn one of the oldest hip:hop styles of dance : breakdancing. Breakdancing is a great workout and an excellent way to cross:train. Learn with step:by:step professional instruction. Develop style and skills with a focus on footwork and coordination. Perform in an informal dance competition on the last day A True Life Adventure Specialist/Teacher teaches a minimum of 1 class but may also be considered to teach the same offering at 1 or more locations. If you are interested in traveling to any of the locations listed below, ESF will provide hotel accommodations, mileage reimbursement, and a food stipend:Greenwich, CT at Greenwich AcademyLawrenceville, NJ at The Lawrenceville SchoolMoorestown, NJ at Moorestown Middle SchoolTinton Falls, NJ at Ranney SchoolBaltimore, MD at The Gilman SchoolNorth Bethesda, MD at The Georgetown Prep SchoolGroup supervision of campers with attention to: behavior and group management, health and safety, security, and personal and skill developmentOrganize and prepare daily lesson plans in a fun and creative mannerImplement ESF Breakdancing and Hip Hop curriculum; bring lesson plans to life for campers through your participation, support and guidanceEncourage creativity and critical thinking while making a positive impact on each of your campersUse effective classroom management skills to lead the activity and effectively create a fun environment where everyone feels includedPromote and actively participate in all camper activitiesEffectively communicate using clear, concise and grammatically correct written and oral language in all aspects of professional interaction with campers, their families, peers, leadership team and the larger communityWork effectively with co:workers and collaborate on daily responsibilitiesComplete assigned paperworkServe as a positive role model to campersFollow the ESF Code and maintain the ESF Look at all timesExhibit ESF Core Values at all times and to adhere to all company policiesAttend all required pre:camp trainings and submit necessary background check paperworkHave funOther responsibilities as assignedKnowledge of subject area: see position scope factorsAt least one year post:graduate teaching experiencePrevious experience working with children, examples include but are not limited to; babysitting, academic/athletic tutoring, camp counselor, youth volunteer, classroom assistant, religious education teacherPrevious camp experience (preferred)BachelorA?s degreeTeaching certification (preferred)Reports to and takes direction from Senior Camp leadership staff. In addition, you may take direction other camp directors.
