Job Description We are searching for a Tax Senior or Tax Manager to join our team. The responsibilities include reviewing individual, trust, partnership, and corporate tax returns, and assisting in client management and firm development activities. Perform tax research and tax planning with minimal supervision. This position also provides work direction and technical guidance to less experienced staff. Major Accountabilities : Manager - Review and manage staff deliverables including tax returns, extensions, tax planning calculations, and write-up work for all entity types Manager - Review Compiled financial statements for Corporations, Not-for-Profit entities, Partnerships, and Individuals, accounting and adjusting entries, bank reconciliations, and client books and records. Manager - Prepare and review complex tax planning projections for individual and corporate estimated tax liability. Manager - Manage and monitor client deliverables and due dates. Manager - Prepare complex US and multi-state income tax returns for all business entities. Manager - Conduct complex tax research and prepare memorandum outlining findings and conclusions. Manager - Respond to IRS and state agency audits, inquires, and tax notices. Communicate with IRS and clients in connection with audits, inquires, and tax notices. Manager - Supervise, train, and mentor Associates on tax projects. Senior - Responsible for client’s engagements from start to finish (planning, executing, and completing tax projects). Senior - Prepare tax returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships, and corporations. Senior - Proactively interact with key client management to gather information, resolve tax-related problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements. Senior - Support firm positions in tax audits and participating in tax planning projects. Senior - Gain understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives. Required Experience and Competencies: 3 to 5 years of experience preparing all types of tax returns with a public CPA firm or private company. Understanding of state and federal taxes. Exposure to federal income taxation and knowledge of tax regulations. Prosystem, Microsoft Office, including spreadsheet programs (ie Excel). Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Professionalism, dependability, and integrity combined with a cooperative attitude. Strong organizational skill and attention to detail.
