Project Background
The Pueblo Chemical Agent:Destruction Pilot Plant (PCAPP) will safely destroy 2,611 tons of mustard agent in mortar rounds and artillery projectiles stored at the U.S. Army Pueblo Chemical Depot (PCD) approximately 25 miles from Pueblo, Colorado. Neutralization followed by biotreatment is the technology selected by the Department of Defense to destroy the Pueblo chemical weapons stockpile. The PCAPP plant began the operations and munition destruction phase as of September 2016.
Candidates for unescorted access to the Chemical Limited Area must successfully clear National Agency Check with Local Check (NACLC). All employees are subject and agree to random drug and alcohol testing as a condition of employment. Must be physically fit and able to work safely at an operating plant. Eligible Foreign National applicants must possess a US Government issued Green Card and successfully go through a government screening process. Based on project goals and objectives, candidates established within our local community are desirable.
Role Overview
The Pueblo Chemical Agent:Destruction Pilot Plant (PCAPP) is looking for a Senior Project Controls Engineer at the Pueblo, CO location. This position will report to the Funds Management/Risk Supervisor at the PCAPP project. Performs cost estimating, analysis, and control activities. Supports project organizational and administrative activities when required. Supervises cost engineering activities when delegated. Prepares cost reports as requested.
This is a long:term assignment with a 4:10s schedule. The work hours are from 6:30am : 5:00pm Monday : Thursday. Position will require overtime hours as deemed necessary.
Principle responsibilities included but are not limited to:
: Supports internal and external project reporting.
: Performs complex ad:hoc modeling and reporting as needed/required.
: Provides instruction to peers as needed.
: Performs analysis, identifies problems, and makes recommendations.
: Performs analysis and maintains project funding forecast. Communicates project funds status and forecast to the project team and client.
: Coordinates information input into funding studies. Evaluates study results and recommends conclusions for project team consideration and discussion.
: Models funding scenarios and recommends conclusions for project team consideration and discussion.
: Support the delivery of the Project Financial Summary Report (PFSR) to the management team and NS and E MI group. Performs sufficient analysis of forecast costs and able to explain any anomalous conditions.
: Identifies cost trends and schedule impacts for management attention.
: Interfaces with designated Bechtel management and client counterparts for specific planning and schedule tasks/cost presentations.
: Participates in developing and presenting training classes on designated subjects and on:the:job training for specific processes and practices.
: Supports development of Project Controls standards and procedures.
Basic Qualifications
: Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 6 years of progressive, relevant Project Controls experience
: In lieu of a degree, 12 years of progressive, relevant Project Controls experience
: Must possess right to work and remain in the US without sponsorship
Minimum Qualifications
: Skilled in understanding technical processes
: Knowledge in the use of computers for executing work processes.
: Skilled in oral and written communication.
: Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling
