Assignment Capsule: The Quality Assurance Performance Automation Engineer is responsible for test case automation, execution, and analysis of Results across multiple projects, platforms including internal development and 3rd party vendors. They are responsible to make recommendations related to performance and system behavior under load, derive defects which are not performing according to the defined requirements. They understand business process and are able to relate well with all areas and all levels within the organization. They can develop and execute test scripts and scenarios for complex, multi-tier, distributed applications throughout the full lifecycle of the software. They can mentor team members on advanced QA methods and provide training when necessary. They are able to develop queries or update programs to examine data and exercise data driven functions. This is a technical position responsible for creating automated systems and integration tests across multiple products, on multiple platforms. This position works closely with product, project, development and test teams, verifying and creating integration tests. The ideal candidate would have experience leading a team of test or development engineers in an area of primarily automated test work. The candidate must have experience defining & implementing an automated test scripting approach utilizing dynamic data and advanced scripting and scenario creation techniques. Additionally the candidate must have extensive experience working with multiple product teams. Excellent written and communication skills are a must and the candidate should have experience working with teams in multiple locations. Experience working with outsource partners is a plus. Responsibilities: * Define, implement & execute performance test scripts and scenarios. * Maintain an understanding of testing environments and system/software development life cycle processes. * Coordinate and actively participate in ensuring proper execution and result analysis. * Publish detailed test strategies, test plans & test results. Work with product and IT teams to define these test strategies. * Maintain a role in investigation and diagnosis of problems encountered. * Identify performance related issues and create test results in a timely manner. * Coordinate and actively participate in definition of test philosophies and methodologies for projects and activities * Coordinate and actively participate in ensuring proper execution of test procedures and performance scripts and scenarios. Required Skills: * Experience in the implementation of performance automation utilizing LoadRunner. * Experienced user of SQL to create data sets. * Working knowledge of .NET, XML, HTML, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook . * Experience creating scripts for automation and ability to maintain existing scripts. * Experience in data parameterization beyond record and playback. * Demonstrated pattern of growth and accomplishment. * Understanding of Agile/Scrum including Sprint Planning, Backlog Management, Acceptance Criteria, User Story definition. * Experience in systems integration and user acceptance testing. * Understanding of Quality Center or Performance Center a plus. * Ability to document and performance defects. * Ability to learn new skills quickly. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills. * Strong organizational skills. * Able to develop and coordinate concurrent projects. * Ability to work under pressure and/or for extended hours . * Clear and concise oral presentations for internal and external audiences. * Work with minimal supervision and be able direct other in work. * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science; or equivalent work experience. * 3+ years of experience on team of test &/or developers in an Agile environment. * Strong familiarity with Web technologies, strong understanding of relational databases and multi-tiered Web applications. * Fosters and reinforces open communication between team members. * Sets high standards in solving problems and shows advanced thinking and new approaches to solving problems. * Demonstrates good organizational skills when working on projects * Detail-oriented and deadline-driven. * Must interface successfully with engineers & product owners and across functional departments. * Prior experience in a Mail Order Rx is a big + Technical Skills: * Unix and Oracle experience required. * Experience designing & implementing performance automated test efforts. * Ability to define overall approach and structure (test architecture / design) for performance and stress testing efforts. * Mastery of software development life cycle and test process and design skills * Mastery of LoadRunner or other designated Performance Testing tools. * Practical knowledge of one or more formal design languages such as Java, C, C++ * Demonstrated success testing in software as a service environment. * Ability to analyze performance behavior and make recommendations to improve performance.
