JOB SUMMARY This class is the fourth level in the Information Technology Management series. Senior Directors assist in the top management of Dignity\\\"s information technology resources and oversee assigned major lines of information technology processes, programs, or activities forming information technology business units as assigned by the Chief Information Officer. Senior Directors apply advanced management principles with critical impact on technology and the organization. Incumbents exercise strategic and visionary thinking having long-term organization-wide application and impact; develop and implement programs critical to Dignity Health; and exercise control and supervision of multiple assigned functions and significant resources that comprises an IT service line critical to the organization and its customers. Responsibility may cross multiple functional units within the organization. Positions will usually have responsibility for program/project outcomes across multiple functions and/or processes as assigned. Incumbents supervise staff including conducting performance evaluations, coordinating training; and implementing hiring, discipline and termination procedures. Incumbents oversee day-to-day operational management of all activities and functions in the respective assigned function(s)/unit(s)/program(s) including developing, implementing and evaluating policies, procedures and standards; determining service levels and enhancements; developing and monitoring budgets; providing technical advice and/or oversight to staff or other departments related to area of assignment; evaluating information concerning needs; estimating and coordinating program/unit activities and associated costs; and tactical project execution activities. The IT Functional Technical Operations Sr. Director manages multiple teams accountable for the development, implementation, management, refinement and support of technologies, systems, and/or information critical to Dignity Health\\\"s day to day business operations. The incumbent will oversee multiple large teams focused on a portion of the development or support of multiple information systems, throughout the Information System Life Cycle. Experience: 10 years of technical and business experience required 6 years Information Technology Leadership Experience required Leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders required Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, launch and deliver multiple IT projects on time and within budget Experience managing a large team strongly desired Experience developing or supporting Information Systems or technologies strongly desired 10+ years of experience in leading Security Operations and controls strongly preferred Education: Master\\\"s degree in related technical/business areas or equivalent work experience required Special Skills: Knowledge of the Information Systems Life Cycle strongly desired 10+ years of experience in leading Security Operations and controls strongly preferred Excellent performance management experience, mentorship, and the ability to provide growth opportunities for staff members. Deep and fundamental knowledge of security best practices and industry standards from a business, technical and operational perspective. Expert working knowledge of managing information security threats in large-scale enterprises. Ability to be visionary, strategic, and tactical. Previous security and/or compliance leadership experience in healthcare or retail industries preferred. Knowledge of current and emerging security standards, privacy regulations and security requirements. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Manages the activities of a designated information technology unit including multiple assigned Dignity Health Information Technology processes, programs and functions that comprise a major line of information technology business for the organization, which includes planning, coordinating, administering, and evaluating programs, projects, processes, procedures, systems, standards, and/or service offerings. Ensures compliance with Dignity Health policies/procedures and applicable Federal, state, and local laws, regulations, codes, and/or standards. Supervises staff including prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff is trained; ensuring that employees follow policies and procedures; maintaining a safe working environment; and, making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations. Ensures alignment with internal departments, executives, external organizations and public representatives. Represents the organization at a variety of meetings, public events, on committees, and/or other related events regarding services, programs, projects and facilities. Prepares, reviews, interprets, and analyzes a variety of information, data, and reports. Recommends and implements policies and procedures to improve operational effectiveness and enhancements to services or programs. Manages assigned budget and assists with the annual budget development process. Prepares cost estimates and budget recommendations. Monitors and controls expenditures. Assists in planning and the development of short and long term goals. Coordinates operational and program efforts in alignment with goals and objectives related to assigned areas of responsibility. Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned. Lead and manage information security managers and staff in the IT Security Operations department. Evaluate, direct, and monitor overall IT Security Operations effectiveness Oversee and direct the effectiveness of the Security Operation Center (SOC), event and incident management activities, and access provisioning Supervise and direct incident response activities and preparedness for IT Security Operations staff; participate and contribute to enterprise security breach response activities Collaborate with the Governance, Risk, and Compliance department to develop and update Security Operations standards, procedures, guidelines, and best practices. Oversee and manage Capital and Operating budget activities. Provide direction and assistance to internal personnel and external entities (subcontractors, contractors and vendors) concerning the security of information and critical data processing capabilities. Management and reporting of key information security performance indicators and continuous improvement planning. Conduct operation event analysis reporting on activities thru regular scheduled reporting and communications. Escalate critical security events and manage the incident response process of driving these incidents to resolution.
