This boat is called a 286, because it was an early production of this hull (1981), but soon after they became known as the 290. It is in solid shape, and has been stored on a trailer for years so it has not suffered bottom growth, or saltwater exposure since I bought it. A trailer is not included at this price, but I just moved it from the one in the pics to a 15000lb triple axle so the boat is ready to be towed anywhere for delivery, or you can buy the trailer for an additional $3000. Now on to the details about the boat, It still has twin 351W Ford motors with velvet drive trannies that were operational when it was parked. They needed new carbs and had rotten exhaust bolts so the exhaust manifolds were falling off. The motors have less than 500 hours and are complete except for exhaust manifolds have come off, and the heat exchangers are most likely bad, and carbs need rebuild (I have two good used carbs). The big problem is the engines will need the heads pulled off to drill and extract all the rotten exhaust manifold bolts. I am including a used factory tower from an 1986 290 tournament express, it is 12ft tall with dual station and has never been installed on this hull (no drill holes are present in this hull). Here is the kicker, for an additional $2500 I have a pair of low hour 310HP Mercuiser Horizon MPI engines that got a little moisture down the exhaust and are currently stuck with the cylinders soaking with oil. They have offset output transmissions and need to be pulled from a 27ft Aquasport parts boat (I have a huge hoist to do it with). I also want to mention that all the hardware for mounting the tower, and the complete wiring harnesses, steering hoses, etc to hook it up are here although the control cables looked a little rough. The reason I am selling as is, is that I have a bad back now and although I could enlist help to do the motor swap, I can no longer do what needs to be done to get everything done to get them running and hooked up correctly. I have around $17,000 tied up in the boat, the trailer, the tower, and the MPI motors in the parts boat, but if you are serious about taking everything off my hands I will entertain offers. My hoist is 12ft tall, 14ft wide, with a 10" I-beam and has twin trollies and one manual and one electric chain fall for pulling engines or lifting the hull. The boat was pressure washed over a month ago so if someone really wants to come see it will be somewhat dirty, but it does look exactly as it does in the photos other than the different trailer. The interior is in reasonably good original condition but the photos were taken a while ago and the very front section of cabin floor needs to be replaced. Please look at the map in the ad! It shows an intersection with the main hwy out here, and that corner is 6 minutes from my house. Zoom out and you will see that we are out east of Orlando about 5 miles east of UCF.
