Assistant Manager, Real Estate Quality Control Summary PenFed is hiring a Assistant Manager, Real Estate Quality Control in Alexandria, VA, Omaha, NE or Eugene, OR. The primary purpose of this job is to oversee the daily activities of the Real Estate Quality Control department ensuring the timely and accurate completion of section responsibilities within the established guidelines and ensuring high quality reviews. The incumbent performs the duties of an experienced Quality Control Analyst and provides supervisory oversight and support to the Quality Control staff. Essential Functions Monitors reviews in process to ensure timely and accurate completion. Assists in training and coaching Quality Control staff. Oversees Analysts production and quality performance, providing regular feedback individually and as a team. Assists with the development and implementation of real estate reviews, ensuring all regulatory and compliance guidelines are met. Provides Mortgage Operations departments with feedback regarding the reviews administered by Quality Control to include trending and identification of training opportunities Performs loan review of real estate loans to verify that all underwriting requirements have been met according to Investors, Qualified Mortgage and PenFed requirements as evidenced by the documentation in the loan file. Determines whether the loan was originated within PenFed policy and NCUA and CFPB regulations. Verifies that required documents are present or have been completed as required. Validates system completion adheres to policy. Creates report of reviews for compliance and mortgage management monthly to include trending and identification of training opportunities. Follows up on previous deficiencies and examines sample of corrected files. Performs Ad Hoc targeted mortgage loan reviews as required. Understands and interprets all compliance and credit underwriting documentation required to be present in each loan folder. Maintains working knowledge of internal policies and procedures and external regulations which affect the department Maintains a current knowledge of federal and state regulations concerning real estate related lending. Assists with maintaining PenFed\'s compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations and ordinances by abiding by PenFed compliance program and all policies, procedures, rules and regulations Participates in related special projects. This is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of job duties. Education and Experience Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered. Bachelor\'s degree or a combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to satisfactorily perform the essential job functions. Five years of work experience, some of which is in a supervisory capacity, in banking or credit union operations that provides a working knowledge of products, services, systems, operational policies and procedures, and regulatory compliance issues is required. Experience with real estate loans (origination, processing, underwriting and closing) is required, including a broad knowledge of consumer real estate lending, including first trust mortgage loans, home equity loans and lines of credit Requires ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and to actively participate in effective meetings and training sessions with employees at all levels of the organization. Must possess excellent research skills and ability to document findings and project work. Requires working knowledge of Word and Excel or the ability to attain proficiency. Supervisory Responsibility This position will supervise employees. Licenses and Certifications There are no additional certifications required. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise. * Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.* Travel Limited travel to various worksites is required.
