Facilities Technician Location: Bridgeport, WV Job Code: 1533 of openings: 1 Description Job Qualifications: The AWV Facilities Technician is responsible for maintaining the equipment, facilities and grounds at the Aurora, West Virginia Site. This position reports directly to the Facilities Supervisor who reports to the Site General Manager. The AWV Facility Technician is responsible for working with the Facilities Supervisor and the EHS Manager to ensure compliance with Federal, State and Corporate rules and regulations concerning the Environment, employee health in the workplace and the safety of employees. Specific Responsibilities: + Demonstrate hands on knowledge and understanding of the following skills: pipefitting, plumbing, janitorial, welding, machining, rigging, machine repair, fabrication, machine alignment, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, and read mechanical/electrical drawings + Demonstrate hands on knowledge and understanding of NC and CNC control systems and process controllers. + Demonstrate hands on ability to locate, troubleshoot, adjust and correct defects in complex mechanical equipment and maintain logs of both preventative and routine maintenance as required. + Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks including overhaul and repair of machines, control panels and plant equipment. Provide advice and feedback on corrective actions. + Assist with various new or remodel commercial construction projects and other miscellaneous maintenance and construction projects. + Ability to work with limited assistance and direction in performing duties. + Ability to operate overhead hoisting and fork truck equipment as per AWVA?s requirements. + Possess good communication skills, verbal, telephone and written. Provide technical guidance to other technical or non:technical personnel. Work with Engineering on functionality issues and procedure updates. + Maintain a clean and safe work place. Follow all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions to the Supervisor. A current OSHA training certificate a plus. Minimum Requirements: + Must have solid maintenance skills/knowledge and ability to learn new processes/equipment. Understand and apply Federal, State and Corporate regulations and standards regarding the environment, health and employee safety. Utilize Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, Visio). Ability to forecast and meet deadlines : Ability to work successfully in a dynamic environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and proven organizational skills. + A current WV Journeyman/Master electrician license required. + 5 years experience preferred. + An industrial maintenance apprentice program graduate, millwright experience a plus. + Would consider equivalent work experience verses a license for non electrical applications. + 10+ years of experience in manufacturing facilities and support, preferably associated with aircraft manufacturing and assembly processes. + 3 to 5 years of experience in process instrument calibration and thermal process applications. + Strong PC skills using Microsoft Office Suite. + Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft PowerPoint, Project, Project Scheduling and SharePoint. + Experience with plant layout, building design, and Industrial Engineering. + Must be able to travel to other Aurora locations when the need arises. + Must be a U.S. Citizen. + Must be capable of acquiring a US Government Security Clearance. + Must have a valid driverA?s license. Physical Requirements: + Must be able to climb ladders and perform overhead work. + Must be able to lift/carry up to 100lbs, on occasion. + Must be able to work in inclimate weather conditions. Shift Requirements: Ability to work a rotating shift work if needed, including holidays, nights and weekends.
