This Classic Jeep Grand Wagoneer has characteristics found in both the "low" and "average" categories of NADA's used vehicle pricing book; however, because it is a "daily driver" the "low retail value" is used:

Your actual purchase price may vary.

This was a daily driver until one clear, bright, beautiful morning last winter when a sight-seeing excursion through Helena's historic Reader's Village with my mother-in-law turned out to be, well, not so beautiful. To avoid the risk of getting stuck in an undeveloped area, I turned around and in doing so crossed over a berm of snow that was much deeper than expected, which left us temporarily high-centered. However, a quick shift into 4-wheel drive and a few powerful rocking maneuvers later, and we were well on our way. Well, perhaps not so "well" on our way.

Unfortunately, as we continued our trek, a rather loud and annoying ticking sound began emanating from under the hood suggesting my "powerful rocking maneuvers" may have been a bit too powerful. The damage required that I/we rebuild the engine but the prognosis for a full and speedy recovery is excellent, though a measure of care will be required until a break-in period is completed.

Overall, this classic Wagoneer is in really good condition, especially when you consider it is almost thirty (30) years old. The paint is good, but the wood-grain vinyl trim has some blemishes consistent with its age and use. The only body damage(s) of significant note are located at the base of both the driver and passenger rear quarter panel(s). It appears a previous owner simply backed into something (seriously, it wasn't me).

With the exception of the headliner and the driver's seat bottom the interior is in very good shape. Only your personal inspection will confirm its surprisingly good condition. The sound system has been upgraded with newer speakers and an AM/FM/CD player (single) with a detachable face (my wife wishes I had the same feature).

I've had this Wagoneer for many years and it has received great care and an aggressive maintenance regime. Unfortunately, with the second of two (2) sons in college, prudence (and my wife) dictate I trim the fleet.

Oh, and don't forget the optional wheels and tires, I'll make you a screamin' deal.

We adhere to the following procedures recommended to avoid scams and they include, but are not limited to:

**Deal locally, face-to-face --follow this one rule and avoid 99% of scam attempts.
**Do not extend payment to anyone you have not met in person.
**Beware offers involving shipping - deal with locals you can meet in person.
**Never wire funds (e.g. Western Union) - anyone who asks you to is a scammer.
**Don't accept cashier/certified checks or money orders.
**Transactions are between users only, no third party provides a "guarantee".
**Never give out financial info (bank account, social security, paypal account, etc).
**Do not rent or purchase sight-unseen--that amazing "deal" may not exist.
**Refuse background/credit checks until you have met landlord/employer in person.

The NADA value is listed at $5,850 and, as such, that is the "listed" price. However, I'm a reasonably reasonable person (or so they say) and this amount is negotiable. I will entertain, consider actually, reasonable and respectful offers. If you think you're going to buy it for nothing, please don't waste my time. Serious buyers only, no deals, no swaps of goats, chickens, or lazy children taken in trade. Final purchase will be for cash only, no certified or cashier's checks, money orders, or wires. Tire kickers and scam artists need not waste your time, trust me, it's not worth it..
