Nike USA, Inc., Memphis, TN, Job # IR82 Duties: Maintain Manhattan Warehouse Management for Open Systems (WMOS), Supply Chain Intelligence (SCI) with bundled Cognos 10, Enterprise Integration Services (EIS) and Labor Management (LM). Work on complex database projects at advanced level ensuring data consistency and integrity. Provide technical design, development and maintenance of databases and associated master files for accessibility, security and integrity of company data. Perform logical data modeling, physical database design, programming and implementation. Perform data modeling studies, follow data architecture standards and conventions to build detailed data models. Perform database maintenance, including backup and recovery activities using shell scripting and Oracle PL/SQL programming. Utilize Oracle backup/recovery to archive utilities and track Oracle gateway software. Monitor system administration activities and track data replication processes performed on database servers. Support and troubleshoot production, development and testing of applications and databases that support worldwide client/server applications. Utilize database/software scripting languages for Linux operating systems, including Bash shell, AWK, Sed, and Perl. Perform capacity planning. Review system trends, measure system initiatives, and size production environment based on organizational demands and future plans. Coordinate with warehouse management, OPS, network, and Business teams, and system administrators to resolve issues and perform routine maintenance for WMS and DB servers. Monitor Application and database performance, tuning, planning and problem resolution. Configure application for best performance to improve response times. Install DB2 on SCI servers and configure database connections to access data from AS400 systems for reporting purposes. Required travel 1 week per year to NIKE Headquarters in Beaverton, OR. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (foreign equivalent accepted). AND Experience: Five years' progressive post-bachelor's experience as an Application Engineer, Computer Software Engineer, Database Administrator, or similar position. OR Education: Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field (foreign equivalent accepted). AND Experience: Three years' progressive post-bachelor's experience as an Application Engineer, Computer Software Engineer, Database Administrator, or similar position.Skills/Requirements: 3 years' experience: 1. Implementing, performing, and supporting system configuration of WMOS, LM systems and SCI; 2. Working with UNIX shell scripting, job schedulers, and automating recurring tasks; 3. Administering relational databases using Oracle PL/SQL programming, database design, and implementation; 4. Installing and configuring New Relic OEM performance tools to monitor application, database performance, tuning, and problem resolution; 5. Integrating and configuring multiple systems using Manhattan Integration Framework (MIF), MQ, and Fusion; 6. Working with SQL programming and Oracle backup/recovery to archive utilities; 7. Coordinating across peer support groups, technical support teams, and vendors for incident and problem resolution; 8. Working with production support teams and vendors to perform SQL updates to data impacting operations; 9. Gathering application and database requirements to design, develop, test and deploy functionality; and 10. Cloning and installing new servers from existing environments and verifying user accounts and disk space requirements on servers.
