Job DescriptionCLINICAL SUPERVISOR/TEAM LEADER MASTERS + LCSW or LPC REQUIRED GENERAL FUNCTION: The person occupying this position is to coordinate effective mental health treatment for clients as well as to understand and implement clinical criteria as dictated by Alliance Healthcare Services funding sources. This person has the responsibility for the administrative and clinical direction of activities performed in the programs under their supervision.SUPERVISORY RESPOSIBILITY: Performs clinical and administrative supervision of program staff.QUALIFICATIONS; KNOWLEDGE AND REQUIRED TRAINING: Masters degree or higher in Psychology, Human Services or related area with an independent license in his/her mental health discipline, or a Registered Nurse with Certification as a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse. Must have knowledge of management and organization, and knowledge of the professional disciplines. This individual must have training and/or experience in the administration of mental health programs and demonstrated administrative and supervisory ability. The individual in this position has the ability to work with conflicting or competing demands or interests of clients, employees, sponsors in the distribution of work, evaluating work and good program effectiveness. This position requires individual judgment in patient assignment and case disposition, and in program administration.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Serves as a clinical team leader supervising and coordinating the service delivery activities of programs and staff under their supervision.2. Performs personnel functions: reviews for approval requests for sick and annual leave; reviews for approval requests for overtime; recommends personnel actions (hiring, firing, promotions); approves time cards; schedules working hours for personnel.3. Supervises clinicians and their clinical work; performs clinical and administrative supervision in groups and individually; reviews client-related data and judgments made there for accuracy and appropriateness; ensures that clients are clinically staffed and treated; makes case assignments based on clinical recommendations; reviews clinical dispositions and treatment of clients; ensures that clients are followed-up for treatment; coordinates client transfer to/from inpatient hospital units; chairs staff meetings to receive and disseminate cline-related information. Personal effectiveness as a mental health professional.4. Transmits to all subordinate staff the mission, goals, and objectives of AHS as they are applicable to their programs.5. Is familiar with existing Center contracts with external organizations, standards for performance, etc. and communicates such to other subordinate staff.6. Supervises and causes to be maintained such physical facilities and equipment as they are assigned to the programs under their supervision.7. Provides clinical backup as needed.8. If supervising a Grant funded program ensures that all Grant regulations and protocol are being followed and participates in required meetings.9. To comply with policies and procedures as outlined in AHSs policy and procedure manual.10. Other duties may be assigned by supervisor(s) to meet the needs of the consumer and AHS.PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS: In order to appropriately accomplish hi/her duties, the person occupying this position will be required to establish and maintain strong positive interpersonal relationships with subordinates and supervisors.
