Job Description:/h3:Lucigen seeks an exceptionally driven, customer:focused, and experienced sales manager to lead, inspire, organize, and direct both the tactical and strategic activities of the Lucigen domestic sales team. Additional responsibilities for the position include: :Ensure a high level of liaison with other departments and staff to ensure coordination of activities and understanding of common goals:Develop systems and tools to enable and track optimal sales performance:Provide regular reports on status of specific sales, the market and competitor activities:Meet and/or exceed assigned sales volume/revenue targets:Designs and implements account strategies at the national level that exceed expectations in revenue retention/growth, account profitability, and customer satisfaction/loyalty:Maintain sales prospect lists/sales funnels as required to achieve sales volume targets:Perform customer presentations articulating the value proposition of products/solution/service offerings of Lucigen:Attend trade shows as a representative of the company in a sales/technical capacity:Present solution:based quotes, negotiates and closes sales opportunities:Represent the company professionally, ethically, and morally at all times:Develop training plans with reports to ensure they have the necessary expertise to successfully perform their jobs; provide ongoing guidance and career counseling to help employees develop and advance in their careers:Set performance standards, ensuring reports have appropriate and realistic job goals:Provide ongoing feedback about reports performance; conducting performance appraisals, including assessing how the reports have performed and how they can improve their performance; developing performance improvement plans; and providing rewards for employee accomplishments:Directly assist at high:value customer accounts to facilitate the sale of Lucigens products and services:Ensure that inside sales personnel record timely and accurate account/contact details within the companys CRM database:Ensure that the companys commitment to customer satisfaction is performed, delivered, and constantly improved:Routinely forecast, monitor, and control expenses within assigned expense budget; routinely and accurately forecast customer demand (i.e., product quantities and dollars, orders, shipments)This position requires a bachelors degree in business, marketing or equivalent. Additional requirements include::Successful track record of 5+ years in sales, including 3+ years in sales management and 1+ year in managing sales operations or related commercial roles in a highly technical industry strongly preferred; 3+ years in genetics or a related life sciences field preferred:Proven track record of outstanding performance in creating, expanding and managing new departments and business functions and delivering strong ROI on departmental budget allocations:Strong sales, sales management and general management aptitude and track record:Proven ability to quickly develop expertise in highly technical products/services, optimally match them to customer needs, and successfully execute sales in a highly competitive sales environment:Results:oriented with a proven ability to identify optimum target markets and effective sales strategies to maximize ROI on sales activities:Knowledge of the genomics, genotyping, gene expression, sequencing and pharmaceutical markets highly desirable:Ability to travel greater than 40 of the time:Ability to effectively communicate and influence internal and external audiences, using both oral and written communication/presentation skills:Well:developed interpersonal and leadership skills:Proven ability to build and maintain a positive, challenging and dynamic work environment for all departments under management:Aptitude to work in a complex and rapidly growing company:Demonstrated good professional judgment and reliabilitySource:
