We currently have a Sr. Social Media Marketing Manager opening in our Los Angeles office. The Sr. Social Media Marketing Manager is responsible for the day:to:day and off:hour workflow of our community management service for a non:profit client located in West Los Angeles. Under the direction of their supervisor and in cooperation with the client, this individual will publish content to multiple social networks, monitor and manage customer engagement, maintain consumer interaction records, identify and suggest non:scheduled content opportunities etc. The Sr. Social Media Manager will be working on a non:profit client in the technology and sciences field, helping to shape their social media strategy across multiple platforms. The Sr. Social Media Manager is both a tactical and a strategic position. It will require a firm grasp of social listening, engagement and analytics.
Additionally, this is a client:facing role, so its imperative that you are a self:starter who is driven to make a difference for the brand through social media. We are looking to fill this position immediately. References and writing samples are highly encouraged.
Responsibilities include:
Work with the M80/client team to further develop a social media marketing strategy and follow through by executing this strategy for the brand
Take on the voice of the brand across all social media platforms, including, but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, Pinterest and Instagram
Attend events on behalf of M80 and the client, gathering content for social channels and immersing yourself in the brand culture
Deliver actionable insights, specific recommendations on how to improve social activity by monitoring and analyzing brand conversations, competitor conversations, and category conversations
Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and ad hoc metrics/strategy reports for the client
Engage with the brands social media communities effectively and efficiently
Communicate complex ideas simply so that others can understand and get on board with them
Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects in addition to handling last minute changes
3:5 years marketing/client service experience
Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, advertising, or related field
Medium to advanced level of Excel charting and statistical functions, as well as Word and Powerpoint
Proven proficiency in written and oral communications (i.e., copywriting, editing, presentation) is essential, as is the ability to interface with colleagues at all levels of the organization, including senior management
Knowledge of analytics and social listening platforms like Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Crimson Hexagon, Sprout Social, etc...
Experience working in tech and sciences
Experience working with non:profits
Passionate about all things mobile and digital
Photoshop ninja skills
Kick:ass attitude
