We are a family of three weirdos. Our oldest child moved out, so we have a private room and shared bathroom available for short-term lease in a 3 bedroom / 2.5 Bath condo effective 2/1/18.
We are two working professionals with a self sufficient teenager. We have two cats.
We all like our privacy and will respect yours.
This is a diverse and alternative lifestyle home and we do not tolerate bigotry, sexism, transphobia, etc. We request that others be okay with our alt lifestyle and mostly quiet home life, or at least be respectful while in our home.

Condo is located in a nice quiet condo complex in Santa Clarita/Saugus off of Copper Hill and Seco Canyon Rd. Zip code is 91390.
We are near bus lines and a shopping centers. The mall is about 10-15 min drive. COC and CalArts are about 20 minutes away.

Security deposit is $300 and is due along with first month rent prior to move in.
Rent is $750 a month, utilities are included. Rent is due on the 1st of every month. Rent will be prorated based on move-in date. If you need the room sooner than 2/1/18 please let us know.
We do not have storage space available, so your room is where stuff goes.

Unfurnished private room upstairs - 9.5'x10.5' standard room plus mirrored sliding door closet (100 sqft). One wall is shared.
The bathroom is shared with the female flatmate (teen) and cleaning the bathroom is a shared responsibility.
All Utilities and internet are included in the cost of the room.
Internet hook up and wifi in room. We don't have cable and don't plan on adding it.
You will be responsible for your own food, unless you want to buy into the weekly groceries. Meal prep is done on Sundays like clockwork and is healthy.
We are home half of the week evenings, otherwise its fairly chill. We sometimes entertain guests.
House privileges include: shared bathroom(s), kitchen, shared dining area, back patio, washer and dryer usage. Living room is off limits.
We will make room for a kitchen pantry shelf, and fridge space. Dishes and pots/pans can definitely be shared, as long as you immediately clean up after yourself and don't break things. Food prep is done on Sundays so there is some expected limitations on that day for kitchen usage (until prep is done). Details and schedules for common areas can be worked out.
Washer and Dryer in unit - we are okay with sharing laundry supplies.
Complex also has a hot tub and pool access about 5 min walk.
No parking space provided, but we do have plenty of street parking.

This is for a single occupancy only - no couples.
This room is for someone who is looking for a temporary place to stay (less than a year).
Someone who is mature enough that he/she/they can pay bills (ehem RENT) on time without hassle, works or attends school during the day outside the home and is looking for a quiet and peaceful environment to relax.
Is not going to be a danger to the other occupants.
Steady income, safety, and minimal drama are our main concerns.

*Must have steady income and must continue having income in some form while living here. Proof of income will be requested during interview.
*Self-Sufficient, and open minded, stick to yourself, please have a life.
*Clean (Keeps room and bathroom clean and pick up after yourself at all times). We don't need to worry about pests moving in too
*Limited company/guest overnight rule. Guests are welcome until 10pm. Limit 3 overnights a month. If I see your honey sleeping over a lot, they are about to be added to your lease and charged rent, dude.
*We love pets but don't have a lot of room since we have two cats already. Exceptions are rare.
*No hard drugs permitted. House is 420 friendly as long as its outside.
We do not care about our neighbors opinions of us but we are not rowdy people. Quiet after 10pm, per HOA rules.
*Must be LGBTQ+ and poly/kink friendly, or at least open minded about differences.
*No creepy dudes (most of creepy dudes do not know they are creepy dudes but I'm saying it anyway). Someone with a RO is out. Also no registered sex offenders, no Trump supporters. Basically, if you think you are better than women or that we owe y'all something or have used the word FemiNazi ever, skip applying. Not going to judge sex work, as long as you don't entertain clients in our house. In fact, please don't do any kind of business out of the house. Thanks.
