This is the Hayabusa you've been waiting for, with extras! Gently ridden by a 57 year old man, babied and primarily ridden down straight stretches of highway as a commuter, this bike has a lot of life left in it. It's the most beautiful blue, original paint, because it has never been thrashed or crashed. If you see one that's painted a color that's not original, well...

I'm selling it only because I need money until January, when I start collecting retirement.

The ergonomics have been changed and this bike is not your typical sport bike, it has a kit made in Germany that moves a much more comfortable set of blue anodized handlebars into a better position, higher and farther back, so you aren't riding stretched out with all your weight on your hands. It gives you more comfort and better control, and you can ride longer without taking a break. I still have the original bars. A slightly taller windscreen was added for those times when you want to get some of the wind off your chest. This bike has amazing versatility - you can ride it in the city, the highway and in the twisties and it is comfortable everywhere.

It has a ZZZ chain right now, but I recently bought a fantastic set of sprockets, including the Supersprox Stealth, which has an aluminum inner ring (for light weight and less unsprung weight) that mounts to the wheel, and that inner ring is permanently attached to a hardened steel outer ring of sprocket teeth that lasts three times longer than aluminum sprockets, giving you the best of both worlds - light weight and durability. I also have the newest chain that supersedes the ZZZ chain, the EK Gold 530 ZVX3 NX-ring chain. Only the finest. It also has a Sensei cush drive kit from Pashnit Busa.

This beautiful blue wonder has Yoshimura pipes and a K&N filter. Box stock engine and gently ridden, I'm telling you it will last a long time. If you don't want to pay the price of a new one, but want long life and a bike you can depend on, this is the one. It looks good, handles good, runs good and gets a lot of comments.

Comes with a passenger seat - which is good for tying down things you want to carry, with conveniently located stainless steel spools for rope or a bungee net. It also comes with "the hump" that lets everybody know from a mile away that this is the legendary Hayabusa. I modified the hump so it has storage inside, accessible with 1/4 turn Dzus fasteners. Why let that space go to waste?

My favorite tires for this bike are the Pirelli Diablos which make it turn like a 600, but I've got a pair of tires on it now that are well-known in Hayabusa circles for longevity, and haven't ridden it much since I put them on.

It has a sweet aluminum bike stand that holds the bike up by spools mounted near the rear axle.

It also has a rain cover.

I might even set you up with the gel battery charger that's got a super-convenient plug I mounted on the bike.

I moved close to work, so I never ride it any more. I took it off my insurance two years ago, and it's been sitting in my sister's building. The battery's dead, so it needs a new battery.

This is your chance to get a Hayabusa that will be there for the long haul. $5,400 takes it.

I also have my practically brand new 2016 Yamaha YZ450F 60th Anniversary Edition for sale. See my other ad.
