Position Overview: 13;
The primary responsibility of the Manager : Shared Services is to perform various accounting functions including, analysis of balance sheet accounts and operating department income statements, preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian The Palazzo Casino Resorts policies, practices, and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 13;
:Key Responsibilities
:Prepares and reviews reports that summarize company business activities and financial positions in areas of income, expenses, and earnings, based on past, present, and expected operations
:Utilizes companys primary accounting systems (Infinium, Stratten Warren, Cognos, Blackline) to perform duties
:Manages the accounting for fixed assets and depreciation
:Review and approves capital purchase requests
:Manages and mentors, Senior Accountants, and Staff Accountants
:Drafts memos to Shared Services management on accounting related issues.
:Prepares internal and statutory financial statements.
:Follows internal accounting policies and GAAP.
:Prepares and reviews journal entries and accruals.
:Reconciles and reviews balance sheet accounts.
:Reviews profit and loss statements with assigned operating departments.
:Performs and reviews account analysis.
:Assists with performance evaluations
:Administers the company chart of accounts and financial reports

:Manage staff and organize department functions in accordance with company guidelines
:Delegate tasks and department assignments or projects, meeting deadlines related to those assignments
:Focus on achieving the goals or objectives of the department using available resources (staff and budgetary)
:Evaluate the schedule or timelines related to the completion of assignments, while maintaining service and/or product quality
:Develop staff skills to enhance department effectiveness and manage resources to eliminate excess cost or unnecessary expenditures.
:Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job

Minimum Qualifications: 13;
:21 years of age, proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States
:High School Diploma or equivalent
:Requires a college degree in accounting and a minimum of 3 years of industry or public accounting experience. Certified public accountant is highly preferred
:Ability to communicate effectively in a positive/upbeat fashion utilizing English; both in oral and written form
:Interpersonal skills with focused attention to guest needs to deal effectively with all business contacts
:Maintain a professional, neat and well:groomed appearance adhering to appearance standards, work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays 13;

:Must be able to work with others, communicate well, give direction, review the work of others, and provide guidance and counsel when needed to achieve department goals and objectives
:Must maintain a positive attitude toward work and interface with hotel guests in a congenial and polite manner

:Work in a fast:paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment
