About the Position: Enprotech is in need of a Field Service Millwright serving its Lansing, MI facility. All jobs will be off site, so physical employee location is not important as long as in Michigan, North-West Ohio, Northern Indiana or North-East Illinois. Overview Installs machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings in industrial establishment, using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools. Typical Functions Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures. Dismantles machines, using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools. Moves machinery and equipment, using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks. Assembles and installs equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails, using hand tools and power tools. Constructs foundation for machines, using hand tools and building materials, such as wood, cement, and steel. Aligns machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs. Assembles machines, and bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures, using hand tools and power tools. May operate engine lathe to grind, file, and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications. May repair and lubricate machines and equipment. May install robot and modify its program, using teach pendant. May perform installation and maintenance work as part of team of skilled trades workers. Responsibilities 100% travel required. (Some local. Some out of state.) Verify and prepare all parts required for assembly operations. Assemble, repair, and rebuild manufacturing equipment from component parts in accordance with standard operating procedures to customer\'s specifications. Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bill of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products. Perform quality work checks to insure the product meets quality standards, using in process inspection tools and devices. Training & Education High school diploma or equivalent, technical training and certifications a plus Experience and Skills 5 or more years of Millwright experience in a related field Ability to use judgment to plan, perform and make decisions as to the sequence of operations and processes within the limitations of established or standard methods and procedures. Ability to read, interpreting variety of assembly prints and understanding verbal and written instructions. Possess the physical strength and ability to safely handle heavy equipment and tools Must be able to work overtime and weekends as work load dictates.
