What we have for sale today is my 1962 Maserati 151 Le Mans reproduction coupe serial number 151007. With the help of a local Maserati collector, I have uncovered the car's original serial number, 101*1402 I believe, making this chassis and serial number a 1961 Maserati 3500 GT Touring. The California title, clear and in my name and hand, lists the car as a 1962 Maserati. In California, the currents titles do not show the model of the car, only the year and manufacturer. If the new owner prefers I can change the title to reflect the correct year of either the 151 or the 3500.

This is a project car which I know very little about but it was on display (to be sold?) at the Amelia Island Concours and RM Auctions about 15 years or so ago.

When I purchased the car the title was in the name of Pennsylvania Motor Sports Corp., owned by Peter Brotman who purchased cars for investors, including Nicholas Cage. Brotman was convicted of mail fraud, wire fraud and bank fraud and was sent to fail for five years in 2007. Here's a link to one article about him:

This is a link to the Amelia Island concours by a fan who was there.

One of my German contacts seems to think it was made by Piero Drago, a coach builder in Modena, Italy who also built the first AC Cobra aluminum bodies and the ISO A3/C.

This is an aluminum body over the 3500 GT Touring chassis with a modified Jaguar center section and a CWI IRS unit tacked into place for the rear. That part was never finished as the original 15 inch Borrani cast aluminum wheels won't clear the lower bearing support. Originally to me, this car had a Jag rearend with a De Dion tube, which is included with the sale. The engine is a 4.7 liter DOHC with four 2-barrel Webers, and the engine's serial number makes it a Mexico. The five speed transmission appears to be fully functional.

If you'd like more photos, just ask.

Almost all parts are included to put it back together, but you'll have to fab up a new driveshaft, windshield, wire wheels (because the Borrani's offset is a little off), pedal assembly and exhaust system; headers are included.

Clear California title in my name describing a 1962 Maserati with serial number 151007. California license plates with current stickers and registration are also included.

The car is currently in a disassembled state but moves freely.

I will help with shipping arrangements, local or overseas.

Engine number is AM112 star and 258 star

Water pump is not on the engine but it has been rebuilt and is ready for installation.

And to the haters out there who keep flagging this listing: Please stop.

Good luck!!

$125,000 or best offer
trades and cash will be considered; always looking for a 997.2 Cup car
