They are a heritage breed which grows more slowly and the meat is more marbled than commercial pork giving it much more flavor and juiciness. Pork- local pastured heritage breed pigs. Happy, healthy, always allowed access to pasture free of pesticides and herbicides. Grass fed animals are healthier and that happiness means quality meat. Whole pig at $4/lb hang weight. 1/2 pig at $4.40/lb. Slaughter is $65 per pig and $.65/lb cut and wrap. Curing and smoking to be $.60/lb for bacon/hams if desired.
