**_Primary Purpose:_** Provide customer on-site diagnosis, maintenance, repair, installation, and/or removal of complex electromechanical motors and equipment. Service never before repaired motors and/or equipment. Provide guidance to Technician I and II s on complex jobs. May work independently on medium to large accounts and/or complex jobs.**_Essential Functions:_** Performs under limited to no supervision.* Technician with MSHA Electrical* Provide general electrical services including but not limited to conduit, wiring, termination of connections, motor control, etc. at customer sites or in FLANDERS locations.* Read work scopes to determine job status, work authorizations/limitations, description of problems, and/or expected serviceability* Analyze and diagnose motors and equipment prior to repair and/or removal.* Determine if repairs can be completed in the field or if equipment needs to be sent to the shop for repair.* Disassemble complex electromechanical equipment noting parts identification, configuration, and condition.* During disassembly, properly mark parts, take photos, and thoroughly complete paperwork to ensure accurate job completion that meet company and ISO standards.* Repair, install, and/or remove complex motors and equipment.* Testing* Perform test of electromechanical equipment and document accordingly. Troubleshoot known or suspected problems.* Operate Megger, DC Hypot, Surge Tester, AC Hypot Volt-Ohm Meter, Amp Meters, and Feeler Gauges as needed on jobs.* Connect leads and test run on proper voltage.* Be aware of any abnormalities in test run (head, rubbing, noise, etc.).* Retest reassembled electromechanical equipment for proper output and operation.* Read and draw diagrams of motors and parts.* Clean & Inspect* Clean electromechanical equipment assemblies as needed using various methods and steps including but not limited to parts washers/steamers, caustic tanks, and glass beaders.* Thoroughly inspect parts for wear and damage and record any worn or damaged parts.* Measure for and note proper replacement parts.* Requisition needed items as approved by foreman.* Store parts accurately according to job status or work scope after the dismantling process. Ensure ISO standards are met for storage.* Lift, tighten, adjust, and/or secure heavy objects in order to perform work duties.* Maintain thorough paperwork throughout entire repair process including all test sheets from receiving unitdescription to Quality Control Checklist. Record accurately and on a timely basis.* Based on FLANDERS locations and customer needs, perform the following:* Motor circuit analysis using PdMA equipment* Vibration monitoring and analysis* Thermography imaging* Installation of Electrical Control Components* Cryogenic cleaning* Advise customers on FLANDERS products and services as it relates to existing or future needs. Refer customers to FLANDERS sales and/or engineers for further details.* Attend customer meetings related to the service and/or repair of equipment.* Train and/or mentor Technician I or II s.* Other* Observe all safety procedures and use proper safety equipment including but not limited to eye, ear, and hand protection.* Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work environment at all times.* Operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner at all times at company and customer locations.* Be knowledgeable of and following all customer specific site safety and other policies and/or procedures to ensure a clean, neat, and safe work environment.* Promote strong company image and maintain positive working relationships at all times including professional behavior with customers, vendors, and co-workers (daily basis).* Provide outstanding customer service at all times.* Perform work according to established company policies and procedures.* Perform other duties as requested.**_Requirements:_*** **Education: *** High school diploma or equivalent.* Associates degree and/or trade school degree in electrical or mechanical studies preferred.* **Experience:*** Four years hands-on experience with mechanical or electrical equipment.* AC and/or DC experience and knowledge including working with small or large (horsepower) motors and equipment.* MSHA Electrical card (MSHA form 5000-33)* Based on location may require Vibration Institute certification, Category I or II, or must be working toward certification.* **Other:*** Strong interpersonal skills working directly with customers at the customer s work sites.* Strong verbal and written communication skills.* Ability to work independently with little direction on a daily basis.* Ability to work in a team on complex customer jobs.* Ability to perform basic math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division including understanding fractions and percentages.* Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple written and verbal instructions.* Ability to understand, perform, and retain various job related training, operational, and safety procedures.* Ability to exercise initiative, judgment, and decision making related to routine duties within set company standards.* Ability to operate overhead cranes, fork lift trucks, and other equipment.* Ability to operate various hand tools and dill press.* Although seldom, ability to work in confined spaces.* Frequent travel including overnight required.**_Values Statement:_** Cares for people; shows humility; acts with absolute integrity and trustworthiness; never gives up; continually grows; and demonstrates excellence.*Shift:* First*Location:* Farmington, NM*Job Type:* Internal Only Associated topics: calibrate, customer service, field service, maintenance, maintenance technician, malfunction, millwright, repair, service technician, troubleshootSource:
