Primary Job Purpose
Operations for OK Tire Stores involves an emphasis in company wide sales and profits. Additional duties include assisting with the design of a winning strategy for the company, overseeing the store managers as they carry out the plan, measuring the results of the strategy, and reporting them to the V.P. of Finance and Executive Group.
Duties
Develop and direct the management of the companys stores. Implement improved customized and measureable processes along with management methods to enhance profitability, productivity and efficiency throughout the companys stores. Establish policies that promote company culture and vision. Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication. Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics. Interact regularly with Managers and individual department heads to ensure that companys operational priorities are aligned with total company direction. Participate in vendor negotiations to ensure product relevance and cost:efficiency. Participate in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances etc.). Interact regularly with Sales Manager, Purchasing Manager and Executive Group to insure all strategies are aligned.
Safety. Manage committees at each location. Train local personnel on forms : make sure key people know where forms are, that forms are completed properly and timely. Train local personnel on our investigation process. Attend a safety meeting at each location at least twice a year to verify their paperwork and processes are compliant. Verify Safety Data (SDS) sheets are up to date and accessible to employees. Develop measurement processes to determine compliance with company policy.
Marketing. Establish and oversee the marketing efforts for the entire organization. Set and monitor company wide and individual store budgets. Manage vendor coop funds and ensure all coop funds are used appropriately. Manage content of marketing to ensure compliance with company values. Develop and maintain process to monitor all spending on marketing.
Requirements
Proven Sales and Operations experience.
Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
Must be Teamwork Orientated.
Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.
Aptitude in decision:making and problem:solving.
Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing etc.
Demonstrable competency in strategic planning, business development and project management.
Working knowledge of data analysis and
performance/operation metrics.
Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office.
BS/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; MS/MBA is a plus.
Direct supervisor is OK Tires Vice President of Finance. This position manages all Store Managers of Tire and Automotive Locations, also Managers of our warehouses and retread shop. Also responsible for the performance management and hiring of those employees. Some travel is required.
OK Tire Store, Inc. is a multi:store wholesale, commercial and retail seller of tires, tire products, automotive service and auto parts. We have 13 locations throughout ND and MN. We are an employee owned ND Company with a competitive benefits package.
