In this role, you will provide department clerical, mail room or receptionist support. May process, sort and distribute mail; prepare outgoing packages and correspondence for delivery. May greet visitors and customers; place phone calls, take messages and perform clerical duties as assigned. May collect and compile information; maintain records and files; process claims, bills, and vouchers for payment. Trinity Industries' Axle Forging business is an advanced manufacturer of freight car, passenger car, subway, and locomotive axles and circular forgings. We use state-of-the-art technology that features electronically controlled heating and treating furnaces to machine our products. Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm What you'll do: Answer phones, take messages and run reports Work regularly in MS Word and Excel Scan documents Determine and develop approaches to assignments and processes Assignments require use of planning and judgment Substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks including standard business applications and tools May operate specialized equipment Work routines are moderately complex Solves a broad range of problems varying in scope and complexity Coordinate information and activities with other team members May coordinate or exchange information with third parties, vendors, or customers May provide work direction or task training to other team members What you'll need: Excellent oral and written communication skills High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Broad fully competent job knowledge/skill Functional proficiency Require instruction only on new assignments Able to work independently Able to work in team environment Why Join Trinity?
