Job Description
The Hanover Insurance Group is seeking a Personal Lines Supervisor to help oversee our Market Consolidation team in Howell, MI.
Position Summary:
Oversees the day:to:day operations of a group of employees with a department or site within Personal Lines Operations. Leads a team of employees building a highly engaged workforce to achieve the key business strategies through effective front line workflow and processes. Responsible for providing daily coaching interactions that drive an exceptional customer experience.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
: Ongoing activities associated with work product quality
: Strong people management skills, effective at coaching and motivating staff. Serves as a role model in building effective relationships
: Drive results around efficiency, quality and performance with team members
: Responsible for improving customer experience through side:by:side evaluation and remote monitoring
: Partner with team members to provide daily coaching and support and drive results through the team. While identifying developmental opportunities
: Work with employees on performance management by setting cascading goals, giving and receiving feedback, documenting and delivering performance reviews, addressing performance issues, creating and implementing development plans while aligning to policies and other internal procedures
: Work closely with team members to facilitate and drive ongoing, action:oriented development and career planning
: Responsible for salary administration recommendations that are directly linked to individual performance
: Utilizes technology and talent management to increase efficiency and scalability to support corporate growth and service initiatives.
: Plan and facilitate daily employee meetings i.e. huddles, team meetings and trainings
: Daily oversight of resources, workflow and processes
: Hires and develops the right people in the right place at the right time to deliver exceptional results and quality service
: Responsible for meeting the expectations of the shared Service Level Agreements across Operations
: Collaborate with peers to assess the demand and ensure proper alignment of resources across PL Operations to successfully meet department performance objectives
: Frequent interaction with Sr. Leadership required
: Build positive relationships with internal/external customers to accomplish organizational goals, serve as an ambassador to stakeholders
: Identify key issues through the use of data analytics and communicate to the appropriate audience in an appropriate and timely manner
: Collaborate with business partners (State Managers, TSM, Underwriters and Agents, etc.)
: As needed, may assist in completing functions of other team members to ensure service delivery
: Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
: Bachelor's degree with related insurance, underwriting and /or operations experience
: Typically has 3 to 6 years related experience
: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
: Prior supervisory or team lead experience preferred
: Property and Casualty license preferred
: Travel up to 15
