Working on foreclosed properties for regional field services companies is a volume business and is driven by meeting deadlines & documenting everything you do with photos and online reports. Building a pipeline of properties in the first couple of months will yield a steady stream of ongoing work (aka MONEY).

You will have 24-48 hours to turnaround an initial secure work order. You will make the bulk of your money on bids that you submit after the initial visit when the lender approves the work. Grass cuts, debris hauling, winterizations, window boarding, etc. Accent on debris hauling! Side benefit is sometimes the 'debris' you haul is worth something -- building materials, furniture, playscapes, paint, garden objects. Found money for you.

This is not high end contracting work. This is get in, get it done & move on to the next property. If you are a contractor who is used to fine detailing, finish carpentry, building decks, doing remodeling and you like that work – most likely this kind of handyman work won’t be satisfying to you on any level.

Following are other key aspects:Paid as Independent Contractor (net 30 days + 15 days initially & twice per month thereafter) – Please note this one; it’s important for getting started. Equipment: Truck + trailer + lawn equipment / generator & compressor starting in OctoberCamera / Internet / Computer for filing reports online. Often a contractor will work with a spouse, sibling, parent who takes care of the online reporting duties.Initial outlay of approx. $400 for locks & lockboxes key coded per vendor stats -- in some instances the vendor will front you the locks & deduct the cost from your first checks.Responsible for your expenses: gasoline, tools, equipment, etc.

Please Note: You must be proficient with a computer & digital camera. You will be taking 50+ photographs at every property; uploading them and emailing them. You should know how to complete documents online & email them as your property reports. If you do not like computer work & reporting details, then you should find someone to do report processing for you.

This business works great for couples or family teams who can split duties between the FIELD and the REPORTING FUNCTIONS.
